The ReSoURCE project, in collaboration with CPI and Crowdhelix, is organizing a workshop on December 4, 14:00 – 15:00 CET. This workshop invites researchers, leaders, entrepreneurs and SMEs to discover innovative industrial applications to promote the circular economy. 

This event will showcase materials derived from recycled refractories, which have potential uses across different industries (paintings, coatings, adhesives). By utilizing these secondary-source materials as substitutes for conventional fillers, we can significantly reduce the carbon footprint of new products.  

About the materials mRefCem and mRefFerro: 

These are fine powder materials produced by the milling of spent refractory linings from the cement and steel industries. 

• Both materials present the option of improved sustainability of materials. The carbon footprint of products can be reduced by utilisation of a product originating from a secondary source. 

• Both materials can be functionalised with silanes, designed for specific applications.
